Equip LC/ST fiberoptisk patchkabel, OM4, 2 m

The Equip LC/ST Fiber Optic Patch Cable OM4, 2m is a duplex multimode cable with a 50 µm core diameter designed for high-speed data transmission in network and data center environments. With OM4 fiber grading and LC to ST connector pairing, the cable is intended for short-range, high-bandwidth connections where low insertion loss and consistent endface geometry are required.

Advantages

The cable uses quality materials and precision-terminated connectors to minimize insertion loss and return loss while maintaining reliable endface geometry. Its OM4 multimode fiber supports higher bandwidth and improved performance over standard multimode types for short to medium distances. The 2 m length provides a compact solution for connections in cabinets, racks, and constrained spaces.

Suitable for

• Patch connections in data centers and server rooms
• Connecting network switches, transceivers and optical equipment
• Short-range multimode links and multi-fiber patch panels

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector types: LC (one end) to ST (other end), duplex
• Length: 2 m
• Polish/termination: factory-terminated endfaces to ensure consistent geometry

How to use

Route the cable between devices, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion. Align the LC and ST connectors with the corresponding ports and insert until a secure connection is felt; for ST connectors, twist or bayonet-lock as required by the port. Avoid tight bends and maintain appropriate bend radius for multimode fiber to prevent increased attenuation.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean connector endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before each use, avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, and store the cable coiled without kinks to preserve optical performance and service life.
