Equip LC/LC fiberoptisk patchkabel, OM4, 5 m

The Equip LC/LC Fiber Optic Patch Cable OM4 is a 5 m multimode cable with a 50 µm core diameter designed for high-speed data transmission. With LC connectors on both ends and OM4 fiber specification, it supports full-duplex communication and is suitable for demanding networking environments that require low insertion loss and consistent endface geometry.

Advantages

This fiber optic patch cable is manufactured from quality materials to provide low insertion loss and good return loss while maintaining stable endface geometry. The LC/LC connectors ensure compact, reliable mating and the OM4 grade fiber offers improved bandwidth for higher data rates and longer multimode reach compared with lower-grade multimode fibers.

Suitable for

• Data center connections and server interlinks
• High-speed LAN backbones and switches
• Telecommunication equipment requiring OM4 multimode fiber
• Short- to medium-range multimode links (up to OM4 specified distances)

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or damage before installation. Insert the LC connectors into compatible LC ports on transceivers, patch panels or switches until they click into place, ensuring correct orientation. Use cable management accessories to route the patch cord and avoid tight bends that exceed the fiber's minimum bend radius. For removal, press the latch on the LC connector and pull straight out.

Recommendations

Keep connectors capped when not in use, clean endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before mating, and avoid excessive tensile stress on the cable. Choose OM4 multimode fiber for applications requiring higher bandwidth over multimode links and verify compatibility with your transceivers and equipment prior to deployment.
