Equip LC/SC fiberoptisk patchkabel, OM4, 3 m

The Equip Fiber Optic Patch Cable OM4 (MPN 255533, 3 m) is a multimode fiber patch cord with a 50 µm core diameter designed for high-speed data transmission in structured networks. It features an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, enabling full duplex links and compatibility with a wide range of network equipment. The cable is manufactured from quality materials to maintain low insertion loss, high return loss, and correct endface geometry for reliable optical connections.

Advantages

This OM4 fiber optic cable provides improved bandwidth and lower attenuation compared with lower-grade multimode fibers, supporting higher data rates over longer distances. The LC–SC connector combination offers flexible connectivity for patch panels, transceivers and network switches. The construction prioritises consistent insertion and return loss performance, ensuring stable signal transmission in data centre and enterprise environments.

Suitable for

• Data centre uplinks and cross-connects
• High-performance local area networks (LANs)
• Multimode transceiver connections (LC/SC)
• Server rooms and network cabinets

Key specifications

• Brand: EQUIP
• Model / MPN: 255533
• EAN: 4015867178904
• Type: OM4 multimode fiber patch cable
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 3 m
• Connectors: LC to SC (one LC, one SC)

How to use

Route the 3 m LC–SC patch cable between the LC-equipped device or transceiver and the SC port on the patch panel or network equipment. Ensure connectors are clean before insertion to minimise insertion loss and protect endfaces with dust caps when not in use. Insert connectors until the latch engages and check link status on connected devices to confirm optical communication.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM4 cable in multimode systems designed for 50 µm fiber, keep connector endfaces clean using appropriate fiber cleaning tools, and avoid tight bends or kinks—maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Store with protective caps when disconnected.
