Seriell kabel EFB Elektronik EK152.5 beige 5 m DE-9

The EFB Elektronik EK152.5 is a 5 m beige serial cable with DE-9 connectors, moulded and shielded for reliable RS-232 data transmission. It features long thumb screws for secure fastening and a robust moulded strain-relief design that supports frequent handling and installation in serial and legacy device connections.

Advantages

The shielded construction reduces electromagnetic interference and helps maintain stable signal quality over the full 5 m length. Long thumb screws allow easy hand-tightening without tools and ensure a secure connection. The moulded cable ends with strain relief increase durability and reduce the risk of conductor damage at the connectors.

Suitable for

• Connecting RS-232 serial devices such as modems, routers, industrial controllers
• Legacy PCs and peripherals with DE-9 serial ports
• Serial console access for equipment configuration and maintenance
• Short-run data links where a 5 m cable length is required

Key specifications

• EAN: 4049759052676

How to use

Align the DE-9 connector pins with the device port and push the connector gently onto the port. Tighten the long thumb screws by hand until the connector is secure; avoid over-tightening. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and pinch points, securing it with cable ties if necessary. When disconnecting, loosen the thumb screws first and pull the connector straight out to avoid bending pins.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable in environments free from strong electromagnetic sources and avoid kinking. Verify the correct pinout and gender (male or female) for the devices you connect. Store the cable coiled loosely to preserve the moulded ends and strain relief.
