Ohanterad switch PLANET GSW-2620HP

PLANET GSW-2620HP is a cost-optimized, unmanaged Gigabit PoE+ switch designed for small and medium business networks. It provides 24 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ injector functionality and 2 1000BASE-X SFP interfaces. The switch offers Layer 2 packet switching, a combined PoE power budget of up to 220 watts and rack-mountable form factor for straightforward deployment in network closets and server racks.

Advantages

The GSW-2620HP delivers up to 30 W per PoE+ port across 24 ports, allowing simultaneous powering of multiple IEEE 802.3at/af powered devices. Its built-in modes — Standard, VLAN and Extend — add deployment flexibility: VLAN mode isolates port traffic to reduce multicast/broadcast impact, while Extend mode supports 10 Mbps duplex operation and 30 W PoE over UTP cable lengths up to 250 meters. Energy-saving features include IEEE 802.3az Idle Mode Link Down and automatic power adjustment by cable length to reduce overall consumption.

Suitable for

• IP camera systems and video surveillance deployments
• Wireless access point installations that require centralized PoE power
• Small-to-medium office networks needing rack-mountable PoE switches
• Edge switches connecting to backbone via SFP fiber uplinks

• Switching: Layer 2 switching; MAC table: 8000 entries; switching capacity: 52 Gbit/s
• Energy features: IEEE 802.3az EEE, cable-length-based power reduction
• Operation modes: Standard, VLAN (port-based), Extend (10 Mbps duplex + 250 m PoE)
• Form factor and color: 1U rack-mountable; blue

How to use

Install the GSW-2620HP in a standard 1U rack or on a flat surface and connect power. Use the RJ-45 ports to connect Ethernet devices (IP cameras, APs, VoIP phones) and SFP ports for fiber uplinks to core switches or monitoring equipment. Configure the front-panel DIP switch to select Standard, VLAN or Extend mode depending on the deployment: choose VLAN to isolate multicast/broadcast traffic, or Extend to power remote PoE devices up to 250 m at reduced data speed. Ensure connected devices conform to IEEE 802.3at/af when requiring PoE power.

Recommendations

For energy efficiency, use Cat5e/Cat6 cables and position the switch close to short-reach devices when possible so the cable-length power savings can reduce total consumption. When long-distance fiber uplink is required, select compatible 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP transceivers to match the fiber type and distance.
