Ohanterad switch PLANET IGS-500T

PLANET IGS-500T is a compact unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch with five 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports in a rugged IP30 metal housing. Designed for industrial environments, it supports wide-range redundant power input (12–48 V DC or 24 V AC), operates from -40 to 75 °C, and provides a non-blocking switching capacity of 10 Gbps with a 4K MAC address table for reliable wire-speed packet forwarding.

Advantages

The IGS-500T offers plug-and-play deployment with auto negotiation on all ports and auto MDI/MDI-X, enabling fast installation without configuration. It includes dual power input with hardware failover to increase network availability and is built for low power consumption using IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and link-activity based power-saving features. The switch provides stable full-duplex performance, flow control and a compact, wall-mountable IP30-rated case suitable for space-constrained industrial sites.

Suitable for

• Small industrial Ethernet networks and machine-to-machine connectivity
• Edge or cell-level IIoT deployments requiring rugged, compact switches
• Redundant power applications where continuous operation is required
• Field installations with wide operating temperature requirements

How to use

Mount the IGS-500T on a wall or DIN rail position as required, connect each Ethernet device using Cat5/5e/6 cables to the RJ-45 ports; ports will auto-negotiate speed and duplex. Apply power using one or both of the supported inputs (12–48 V DC or 24 V AC). When two power sources are connected, the hardware failover automatically maintains power if one source fails. No configuration is required for basic operation as the switch is unmanaged and operates in plug-and-play mode.

Recommendations

Use shielded or unshielded Cat5e/Cat6 cables for reliable Gigabit links, ensure proper grounding of the metal enclosure in industrial environments, and provide redundant power when uninterrupted operation is required. For optimal energy efficiency, keep idle or low-traffic links connected to allow the switch's EEE and link-length power saving features to reduce consumption.
