Keystone-jack ACT CAT6A fullskärmad punch down TD6511

The ACT CAT6A Keystone Jack Full Shielded Punch Down TD6511 is a shielded RJ45 keystone module designed for high-speed Ethernet installations. Built with a full metal housing and IDC punch-down contacts, the keystone jack provides reliable category 6A performance with protection against electromagnetic interference. The compact form factor fits standard patch panels, surface-mount boxes and keystone faceplates, offering a professional, durable connector solution for structured cabling in data centers, server rooms and commercial offices.

Advantages

The full shielded construction reduces crosstalk and external EMI, helping maintain signal integrity at 10 Gbps and beyond. IDC punch-down terminations deliver consistent pair connection and reduce installation time compared with field-terminated RJ45 plugs. The steel housing adds mechanical strength and grounding continuity when used with compatible panels or shields. The module’s precise contact geometry and RJ45 interface ensure compatibility with standard Ethernet patch cords and devices.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet horizontal cabling (CAT6A)
• Data centers and server room patch panels
• Office network wall plates and surface-mount boxes
• High-density structured cabling installations
• Environments requiring EMI/RFI protection

Key specifications

• Category: CAT6A performance for 10 Gbps networks
• Shielding: Full metal (fully shielded housing)
• Connector type: RJ45 female interface
• Termination: IDC punch-down contacts
• Material: Steel housing with plated contacts
• Mounting: Keystone form factor compatible with standard panels and faceplates
• Compliance: Designed to meet CAT6A cabling performance parameters (alien crosstalk and return loss considerations)

How to use

Prepare the structured cabling by stripping the outer jacket to expose the twisted pairs, keeping the pair twist lengths as required by CAT6A installation practices. Follow the color-coded IDC labeling on the keystone jack to place each conductor into its assigned slot, then use a punch-down tool to terminate the conductors into the IDC contacts. After termination, trim any excess conductor, confirm the shield connection to the panel or faceplate for grounding, and insert the keystone jack into the chosen panel or faceplate until it snaps into place. Finally, verify connectivity and performance with an appropriate network tester that supports CAT6A verification.

Recommendations

For best results, maintain proper cable management and separation from power sources to minimize EMI. Use compatible shielded patch cords and ensure the equipment chassis or patch panel provides a reliable earth connection to complete the shield path. When installing in high-density or long-run applications, test each link for return loss, NEXT and alien crosstalk to confirm CAT6A performance.
