Kabellås Navilock 20654 silver 1,8 m

The Navilock 20654 Silver 1.8 m cable lock is designed to secure laptops and other devices with a compatible security slot. The lock combines a 1.8 m steel cable with a 4.5 mm diameter for flexible positioning and basic theft deterrence, and uses a keyed cylinder for locking and unlocking. The silver finish provides a neutral, unobtrusive appearance that fits office and public environments.

Advantages

This cable lock offers a straightforward keyed locking mechanism that is easy to operate while providing consistent physical restraint for a device. The 1.8 m cable length allows attachment to fixed objects at a comfortable distance and the 4.5 mm cable thickness balances portability with adequate tensile strength for routine use. The metal components and finished exterior are suitable for frequent handling and commuting.

Suitable for

• Securing laptops and notebooks with a Kensington-style security slot
• Temporary protection of monitors, docking stations and small equipment in shared spaces
• Use in offices, libraries, classrooms and public work areas

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1.8 m
• Cable thickness: 4.5 mm
• Lock type: keyed cylinder
• Finish: silver
• Material: steel cable with metal lock head

How to use

Insert the lock head into the device’s security slot and turn the key to engage the cylinder. Loop the cable around an immovable or heavy anchor point such as a desk leg or fixed rack, then secure the free end to the lock head. Always verify the lock is fully engaged by attempting a gentle pull on the device before leaving it unattended. Keep the key in a designated place to avoid loss and consider carrying a spare key if available.

Recommendations

For effective use, choose a robust anchor point and avoid thin or movable objects. Periodically inspect the cable and lock for signs of wear or damage, and store the lock indoors when not in regular use to reduce corrosion. This product provides deterrence and physical restraint but is not a replacement for additional security measures such as alarms or secure storage for high-value devices.
