Kabellås Navilock 20653 silver 1,8 m

The Navilock 20653 Silver 1.8 m cable lock is a key-operated security cable designed to secure laptops and other portable devices. The steel cable with a 4.5 mm diameter and a length of 1.8 m combines flexibility with tensile strength to allow convenient anchoring to fixed objects while minimizing bulk. The lock head and cylinder are finished in silver for a neutral appearance that suits office and public environments. The product is supplied in a box for retail or storage.

Advantages

The cable lock offers a compact, portable solution for device protection with simple key operation and a durable steel construction. Its 1.8 m length provides sufficient reach to secure devices to desks, poles or other fixtures, while the 4.5 mm diameter balances strength and flexibility. The silver finish reduces visual intrusion and integrates with common laptop designs. Being key-operated ensures predictable locking and unlocking without relying on combination memorization or electronic power.

Suitable for

• Securing laptops and ultrabooks with a compatible security slot
• Protecting desktop accessories such as portable monitors, docking stations or external drives
• Anchoring devices in offices, libraries, classrooms or public spaces
• Use in temporary or shared workstations where quick locking and removal is needed

How to use

Insert the lock head into the device security slot and turn the key to engage the locking mechanism. Loop the cable around a fixed, immovable object such as a desk leg or anchor point, then fasten the lock head to secure the device. Keep the keys in a safe place; if spare keys are provided, store them separately from the device to reduce risk of simultaneous loss. Regularly inspect the cable and lock for wear or damage and replace if compromised.

Recommendations

Choose a secure anchor point that cannot be easily removed or disassembled. Use the cable lock as part of a broader security practice that includes physical supervision and software-level protections such as passwords and disk encryption.
