How to use

Insert the required battery according to the manufacturer’s instructions and connect the microphone to a compatible recorder or mixer using an XLR-3 cable. Hold the microphone at an appropriate distance from the speaker’s mouth (typically 5–20 cm) and angle to minimize plosives and handling noise. Adjust input gain on the connected device to achieve optimal signal level without clipping. When not in use, store the microphone in a protective case to prevent impact or abrasion to the aluminum body and grille.

Recommendations

For best results in interviews and field reports, use a windscreen or foam cover outdoors to reduce wind noise, and consider a shock mount or clip to minimize handling noise. Regularly check battery level before sessions and verify cable connections to ensure uninterrupted recording.
