InLine patchkabel F/UTP Cat.5e grå 5 m

The InLine Patch Cable F/UTP Cat.5e grey 5m is a 5 meter network patch cable designed for stable wired connections between computers, routers, switches and other Ethernet-enabled devices. It uses F/UTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and has RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The neutral grey jacket fits residential and office environments while providing straightforward high-speed networking capabilities consistent with Cat.5e performance.

Advantages

F/UTP shielding helps to limit external interference for improved signal integrity in environments with potential electromagnetic noise. The Cat.5e specification supports common fast Ethernet and gigabit-capable installations depending on network setup. RJ-45 connectors on both ends ensure compatibility with standard network ports, and the 5 m length offers flexibility for desktop and rack installations without excessive cable slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers to routers or switches
• Wiring small office or home network points
• Temporary or semi-permanent patching between network equipment in server cabinets
• Replacing or extending existing Cat.5e runs within a single room

Key specifications

• Cable type: F/UTP (foil-screened with unshielded twisted pairs)
• Category: Cat.5e
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of a computer, router or switch and insert the other plug into the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sources of high electromagnetic interference where practical. For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to mains power cables for long distances.

Recommendations

Use this Cat.5e F/UTP patch cable for short to medium-length connections up to 5 m within office cubicles, home networks or equipment racks. Inspect connectors for damage before use and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs are compromised. For longer runs or environments requiring higher bandwidth or additional protection, consider higher category or shielded solutions as appropriate.
