IEC-koaxialkontakt ShiverPeaks BS83500

The ShiverPeaks BS83500 is a compact female IEC coaxial connector engineered for reliable signal connections in audio and video equipment. Designed with a focus on mechanical stability and consistent electrical contact, this connector provides a straightforward way to join coaxial cables and devices where an IEC female termination is required. Supplied as a single unit per pack, it is suitable for repair, replacement or custom installation tasks where a standard IEC coaxial interface is needed.

Advantages

This IEC coaxial connector offers a durable metal construction and a secure female contact that helps maintain stable signal transmission. Its compact form factor simplifies installation in tight spaces while standard dimensions ensure compatibility with common IEC male plugs. The connector is supplied individually, making it convenient for single repairs or incremental upgrades without excess packaging.

Suitable for

• Repairing or replacing a damaged IEC coaxial socket on TVs, set-top boxes and AV receivers
• Custom cable assemblies and DIY audio/video projects
• Field service and maintenance tasks requiring a standard female IEC coaxial termination
• Small installations where a compact, standardized connector is needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: IEC female coaxial
• Contact configuration: single central pin with outer shielding contact
• Construction: metal housing for mechanical stability
• Mounting: panel or inline termination depending on application
• Pack quantity: 1 connector per pack

How to use

Prepare the coaxial cable by stripping the outer jacket and dielectric to expose the inner conductor and shielding according to the connector's assembly requirements. Insert the cable conductors into the appropriate contacts and secure the connector following the manufacturer’s mechanical fastening method (crimping, soldering or screwing) applicable to the model. After assembly, check that the central conductor is centered and that the outer shield makes solid contact with the connector body. Test continuity and signal integrity with appropriate equipment before finalizing installation.

Recommendations

Use appropriate cable preparation tools and follow standard safety procedures when assembling or replacing connectors. Verify compatibility with the device’s mating connector before installation to ensure reliable electrical contact and avoid mechanical stress on ports or cables.
