Hikvision DS-3E1309P-EI – 8-ports 100 Mbit/s smart managed PoE-switch (301801788)

The Hikvision DS-3E1309P-EI is a managed L2 Fast Ethernet switch with 8 RJ-45 ports (10/100 Mbps) and PoE support. It provides a switching capacity of 3.6 Gbit/s and a MAC address table of 16,000 entries, and accepts 48V DC input for powering PoE devices. The switch supports standard IEEE networking protocols and is intended for efficient network management and power delivery over Ethernet.

Advantages

The managed design enables configuration and monitoring for improved network control. Eight Fast Ethernet ports with PoE simplify deployment of powered devices without separate power supplies. Compliance with IEEE standards ensures interoperability with common network equipment, and the 16,000-entry MAC table supports sizeable local networks for layer 2 switching.

Suitable for

• Small office or retail networks requiring PoE for IP cameras, VoIP phones, or access points
• Edge deployments where layer 2 managed switching and topology visibility are needed
• Environments needing 48V DC PoE power delivery to connected devices

How to use

Mount the switch on a stable surface or rack as recommended by the manufacturer and connect the 48V DC power supply. Connect network devices to the RJ-45 ports; PoE-capable ports will supply power to compatible devices automatically when enabled. Use the management interface to configure VLANs, PoE settings, and other layer 2 parameters, and monitor device discovery and topology for network visibility.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a ventilated area with ambient temperatures within the device specifications. Verify PoE power budgets before connecting multiple powered devices and keep firmware updated to ensure compatibility and security.
