Handsåg BAHCO 2600-16-XT11-HP 16 inch High Performance

BAHCO 2600-16-XT11-HP is a 16-inch (approx. 406 mm) high-performance hand saw engineered for accurate, straight cuts in wood. The saw combines a robust hardened blade with an ergonomic handle to deliver consistent cutting performance across carpentry, construction and do-it-yourself tasks. Its blade geometry and tooth design are optimized to reduce binding and deliver faster, cleaner crosscuts and rip cuts on a variety of common timber and dimensional lumber.

Advantages

The saw features a hardened, durable blade that maintains sharpness for extended use and resists wear in demanding conditions. An ergonomically shaped handle provides secure grip and improved control to reduce user fatigue during repetitive cutting. Precision tooth set and optimized rake angle contribute to efficient material removal and straighter cuts. The compact, portable form factor allows easy transport and use on-site or in the workshop.

Suitable for

• Carpentry work: cutting studs, boards and trim.
• Construction tasks where portable, manual cutting is required.
• DIY and home improvement projects involving soft and common hardwoods.
• On-site adjustments and finishing cuts where power tools are impractical.

Key specifications

• Blade length: 16 inches (approx. 406 mm).
• Blade material: hardened steel for improved wear resistance.
• Tooth design: precision-set teeth optimized for crosscut and rip performance.
• Handle: ergonomic grip designed for comfort and control.
• Cut type: suitable for crosscuts and rip cuts in common construction timber.

How to use

Secure the workpiece before cutting to prevent movement. Grip the saw with a firm but comfortable hold on the ergonomic handle and start the cut with a few short, controlled strokes to establish the kerf. Use steady, even strokes along the intended cut line, applying light forward pressure and allowing the saw’s tooth geometry to do the cutting. For straight cuts, keep the saw aligned with a guide or square. Periodically clear sawdust from the kerf to maintain cutting efficiency and inspect the blade for damage or dulling.

Recommendations

Use the saw on appropriate wood types and avoid cutting metal, masonry or materials not intended for hand saw blades. For extended tool life, store the saw dry, clean the blade after use and avoid excessive side pressure that could bend teeth. Replace or re-sharpen the blade when cutting performance decreases.
