Bosch HSS spiralborr PointTeQ

The Bosch HSS Twist Drill Bit PointTeQ is a set of high-speed steel drill bits designed for precision drilling in metal and wood. The PointTeQ tip geometry and black-oxide coated flute improve chip evacuation and reduce heat build-up, while a cylindrical shank makes the bits suitable for use in drill stands and hand-held drill drivers. The set is supplied in a hanging storage box and follows DIN 338 specifications, Type N with a 135° tip.

Advantages

PointTeQ tip design enables faster drilling rates with reduced heat and wear, maintaining a sharp point for continuous durability. The black-oxide coated flute assists fast chip removal. The bits have a highly elastic body that lowers the risk of breakage, particularly for diameters below 6 mm. Manufactured to DIN 338, Type N (flute angle) with a 135° tip and cylindrical shank for compatibility with standard drill chucks and stands.

Suitable for

• Precision drilling in metal
• Drilling in wood for general-purpose tasks
• Use in drill stands and hand-held drill drivers
• Applications requiring fast chip evacuation and reduced heat

How to use

Select the appropriate drill bit diameter for the material and secure it in the drill chuck or drill stand. Use steady feed and the recommended rotational speed for HSS bits when drilling metal or wood. Ensure proper clamping of the workpiece and clear chips regularly to maintain efficient cutting and reduce heat. Replace worn bits to preserve drilling performance and avoid damage to the workpiece.

Recommendations

For best results when drilling metal, use cutting fluid or lubricant to reduce heat and extend bit life. For small-diameter bits (below 6 mm), avoid excessive side loads to minimize risk of breakage.
