Bosch 2 609 255 286 borr 1 st

The Bosch 2609255286 drill bit is a precision tool designed for clean, accurate holes with a 2 cm diameter and a working length of 90 mm. Made for general-purpose drilling, this single bit is compatible with a range of rotary and cordless drills. Its geometry and material selection are intended to provide consistent cutting performance and extended service life across common building and repair materials.

Advantages

This drill bit combines a large-diameter cutting profile with a moderate length to maintain stability during drilling and reduce wander. The cutting edges and flute design support efficient chip evacuation and steady penetration, while the material and surface finish are chosen to resist wear under typical jobsite conditions. As a single, replaceable accessory, it allows fast swaps in modular toolkits and minimizes downtime.

Suitable for

• Drilling through wood and hardwood panels
• Creating holes in plastic components and PVC
• Light to medium drilling in soft masonry and concrete blocks
• Furniture assembly and large-diameter dowel preparation
• General home improvement and professional repair tasks

Key specifications

• Diameter: 20 mm
• Length: 90 mm total length
• Material: hardened high-speed steel or equivalent cutting-grade alloy
• Tip/geometry: spiral flute for chip removal and straight drilled holes
• Compatibility: standard drill chucks for handheld and stationary drills

How to use

Secure the drill bit in the drill chuck and tighten it firmly before operation. Choose a drill speed appropriate to the material: lower speeds for masonry and higher speeds for wood and plastic. For masonry, use intermittent pressure and, if required, a hammer-drill mode. Apply steady, even feed pressure and withdraw periodically on deeper holes to clear chips. After drilling, inspect the hole for burrs and remove any debris before assembly or finishing.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Match drill speed and feed to the material to extend bit life. For prolonged use in abrasive materials, consider occasional cooling pauses and avoid excessive side loads to prevent premature wear or breakage.
