Borrsats Metabo 626705000

The Metabo 626705000 drill bit set contains eight spiral cutting drill bits specifically designed for woodworking applications. Each bit features a spiral flute geometry that clears chips efficiently and a sharp cutting edge intended to produce clean, accurate holes in soft and hardwoods. The set is compact and arranged to cover a range of commonly used diameters for general drilling tasks in furniture making, carpentry, and home projects.

Advantages

The spiral design improves chip evacuation and reduces friction during drilling, helping maintain cutting performance over extended use. Precision ground tips center reliably and reduce walking at the start of drilling, which supports accurate hole placement. Hardened cutting edges and consistent manufacturing tolerances deliver repeatable hole dimensions across the set, offering predictable results for both single-hole operations and series drilling.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in softwood and hardwood for furniture and cabinet assembly
• General carpentry tasks such as joist and stud boring
• Home renovation and DIY projects requiring clean, accurate timber holes
• Pre-drilling for screws and dowel holes in joinery

Key specifications

• Quantity: 8 drill bits
• Tip type: spiral cutting tip for wood
• Flute design: spiral for efficient chip removal
• Material: hardened tool steel suitable for woodworking
• Intended material: wood (softwood and hardwood)

How to use

Select the drill bit size appropriate for the hole required and secure the bit in the drill chuck ensuring it is firmly seated and concentric. Mark the drilling position on the workpiece and, when necessary, clamp the piece to prevent movement. Start drilling at low speed to establish the center, then increase speed as appropriate for the wood type and bit size. Use steady pressure without forcing the bit; allow the spiral flute to carry chips out of the hole. Withdraw the bit periodically for deeper holes to clear chips and reduce heat buildup.

Recommendations

For best results, match drill speed to material hardness, use clamps to stabilize the workpiece, and maintain sharp bits by avoiding overheating. When drilling laminated or veneered boards, support the exit side to reduce tear-out and consider backing material. Store the set in a dry place to prevent corrosion and inspect bits for wear before precision work.
