Borr Bosch Expert HEX-9 Multi Construction, 9 mm

The Bosch Expert HEX-9 Multi Construction 9 mm drill bit is designed for drilling 9 mm holes in a range of common building materials. With a HEX-9 shank for secure retention in handheld and corded drills, this drill bit is engineered to deliver consistent performance in everyday construction and renovation tasks. The geometry of the cutting tip and flute supports efficient material removal and straight drilling, making it suitable for both professional tradespeople and DIY users who need reliable 9 mm holes.

Advantages

The HEX-9 shank provides stable bit seating and quick replacement in compatible chucks and holders. Hardened cutting edges maintain sharpness under typical load, while the flute design helps evacuate dust and debris during drilling. The bit’s length and 9 mm diameter offer a balance between strength and access in confined spaces, and its construction is optimized for use in a variety of substrates commonly encountered on construction sites and renovation projects.

Suitable for

• Drilling 9 mm holes in wood and laminated materials
• Drilling pilot or clearance holes in light construction work
• Use with handheld and corded drills that accept HEX-9 shanks
• Fast replacement in quick-change holders and bit adapters

Key specifications

• Drill diameter: 9 mm
• Shank type: HEX-9 shank for secure retention
• Intended use: multi construction applications
• Compatibility: handheld and corded drills accepting HEX-9 bits
• Cutting geometry: tip and flute designed for efficient material removal

How to use

Install the drill bit into a compatible chuck or quick-change holder until it seats securely. Select an appropriate drilling speed and apply steady pressure, keeping the drill perpendicular to the work surface for a straight hole. Periodically withdraw the bit during longer holes to clear debris from the flute. For best results, match drill speed and feed to the material being drilled and allow the bit to cool if it becomes hot under continuous use.

Recommendations

Use the Bosch Expert HEX-9 Multi Construction 9 mm bit with drills that support HEX-9 shanks and ensure proper clamping before operation. Wear appropriate eye and hand protection when drilling. For hardened or highly abrasive materials, verify suitability and consider reducing speed or using dedicated masonry or metal bits.
