The Dedra DED8710 lawn scarifier is designed for efficient lawn maintenance, combining a robust motor with an adjustable working depth to remove moss and thatch and support healthier grass growth. Its construction and working width are intended for medium-sized lawns, offering consistent scarifying performance to reduce thatch build-up and improve air, water and nutrient access to the root zone.

How to use

Before operation, check the lawn for large debris, stones and toys, and set the working depth according to the thickness of the thatch layer and grass condition. Start the scarifier and move it steadily across the lawn in overlapping passes; avoid stopping the machine over one spot to prevent excessive turf damage. Collect or rake up removed material after scarifying and, if necessary, repeat at a shallower setting for final clean-up. After use, switch off and disconnect power, then inspect the cutter assembly for wear and clean any accumulated debris.

Recommendations

Perform scarifying when grass is dry and actively growing—typically in spring or early autumn—to enable recovery. Follow up with feeding and overseeding where bare patches appear, and regularly maintain the cutter assembly to ensure consistent performance and safe operation.
