USB-kabel Logitech Strong USB 25 m

The Logitech Strong USB 25m active optical cable provides extended reach for USB 2.0 and USB 3.x devices, allowing you to separate self-powered peripherals and a host PC by up to 25 metres. Plenum-rated and Eca certified, the cable supports data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2) and uses a USB A to USB C connection. The 25 m length and graphite colour make it suitable for professional installations that require reliable, long-distance USB connectivity.

Advantages

Logitech Strong USB offers over eight times the reach of ordinary USB 3.x cables while maintaining high-speed performance up to 10 Gbps. Its active optical design removes the need for external USB extenders, reducing potential points of failure and overall system complexity. The cable is plenum-rated and Eca certified, enabling safe pulling through walls, above ceilings, and inside standard ¾” conduit without compromising durability.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB A host ports to USB C peripherals over long distances (up to 25 m)
• Professional AV installations in conference rooms and auditoriums
• Networked workspaces and shared equipment setups where devices are separated from PCs
• Runs requiring plenum-rated cabling or conduit installation

How to use

Connect the USB A end to the host computer or USB A port and the USB C end to the peripheral device. Ensure both connected devices are self-powered or that the peripheral does not require additional external power beyond what the host and cable provide. Route the cable through the required path—wall cavities, ceiling plenums, or standard ¾” conduit—observing local building and fire codes. Confirm device recognition and data transfer at the expected USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds using appropriate host and peripheral hardware.

Recommendations

Install and route the cable in compliance with local safety and building regulations. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation; use proper cable-pulling techniques when running through conduit or plenum spaces. Verify compatibility of host and peripheral devices with USB 3.2 Gen 2 to achieve maximum transfer rates.
