USB-hubb Terratec Connect c5

The Terratec Connect c5 is a compact USB hub combining USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and Type-A connectivity with an HDMI output in a slim silver aluminium housing. Designed for compatibility with modern laptops and desktops, it supports data transfer and video output while drawing power from a host USB port. Its compact dimensions of 98 mm x 38 mm x 10 mm and lightweight construction make the hub suitable for mobile work and desk setups where additional ports are required.

How to use

Connect the Terratec Connect c5 to a host computer via its USB Type-C plug. Attach USB devices such as external drives, keyboards or mice to the Type-A ports. For video output, connect an HDMI cable between the hub and an external display; configure display settings on the host operating system to extend or mirror the desktop. The hub draws power from the host USB connection, so ensure the connected computer provides sufficient power for attached devices.

Recommendations

Use high-quality USB and HDMI cables for reliable data transfer and stable video output. When connecting power-hungry devices or multiple external drives, verify host port power delivery capabilities; for sustained heavy loads consider connecting devices with their own power supply. Keep the aluminium housing clear of debris and avoid placing heavy objects on the hub to maintain thermal performance and mechanical integrity.
