Stagg SEL-STD GOLD elgitarr - Gold Top

Getting a classic single-cutaway electric guitar with a set neck and dual humbuckers usually means spending far more than a beginner or intermediate player can justify. The Stagg SEL-STD GOLD solves that by delivering a solid mahogany body, carved top, and warm, articulate tone at a price that keeps your first serious upgrade within reach.

Who is it for

This guitar suits players who want the look, feel, and sustain of a vintage-style single-cutaway without the vintage price tag. It is ideal for rock, blues, and classic rock, but the HH pickup configuration handles everything from clean jazz to high-gain crunch. Whether you are moving up from a starter pack instrument or adding a reliable workhorse to your collection, the SEL-STD GOLD fits the bill.

Tips

To keep the gold top looking its best, wipe the body down with a soft, dry cloth after each session and avoid abrasive cleaners. The set neck and tune-o-matic bridge mean you can experiment with string gauges, but a professional setup is recommended if you change tunings often. For a classic rock tone, start with both pickups on and roll back the neck tone slightly.
