Smartphone-mikrofon BOYA BY-MM1+

The BOYA BY-MM1+ is a compact cardioid microphone designed to improve the sound quality of videos compared with built-in microphones. It features a wired 3.5 mm interface and is supplied with both TRS and TRRS cables, making it compatible with smartphones, cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, and PCs. The microphone has a sensitivity of -42 dB, a frequency response of 35–18000 Hz and a signal-to-noise ratio of 76 dB. Its aluminium housing is lightweight and compact (81 × 22 × 86 mm), providing a portable solution for on-the-go recording.

Advantages

The BOYA BY-MM1+ delivers clearer directional audio through its cardioid pickup pattern, reducing ambient noise compared with built-in microphones. Its plug-and-play wired connection requires no battery, and the included TRS and TRRS cables expand compatibility across a wide range of devices. The supplied anti-shock mount reduces vibration, cable and handling noise, while the metal construction keeps the unit lightweight and durable.

Suitable for

• Smartphone video recording and vlogging
• DSLR and mirrorless camera interviews and run-and-gun shooting

No battery is required; the microphone draws power through the connected device where applicable.

Recommendations

For best results, position the microphone within 30–60 cm of the speaker and avoid placing it near strong wind or noisy surfaces. Use a foam windshield or external windscreen when recording outdoors to reduce wind noise.
