Slipsten Dremel 26150952JA

The Dremel Grinding stone 26150952JA is an aluminum oxide grinding accessory designed for use on metal surfaces. It is suitable for work on castings, welded joints, rivets and rust. Supplied in a pack of three, the stone is intended for tasks such as sharpening, deburring and general-purpose grinding of most materials compatible with aluminum oxide abrasives, operating at a maximum rotational speed of 25,000 RPM.

Advantages

Aluminum oxide composition offers good durability and cutting performance on metal. The small, shaped stone provides precise contact for detailed work on welds, rivets and confined areas. Pack quantity of three gives spare tools for repeated use and longer project runs. Rated for use up to 25,000 RPM when fitted to compatible rotary tools.

Suitable for

• Grinding and shaping metal castings
• Cleaning and dressing welded joints
• Deburring rivets and small metal parts
• Removing rust spots and localized corrosion
• Sharpening blades and metal tools (where geometry permits)

How to use

Fit the grinding stone into a compatible Dremel or similar rotary tool collet or accessory holder according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Secure the accessory, set the tool speed appropriate for the metal being worked (do not exceed 25,000 RPM), and apply light, even pressure while moving the stone across the workpiece. Allow the abrasive to do the cutting; avoid forcing the stone to prevent glazing or premature wear. Wear appropriate eye, respiratory and hand protection when grinding metal.

Recommendations

Use the grinding stone on clean, stable workpieces and select a lower speed for thin or heat-sensitive metals. Replace the stone when wear reduces effectiveness or if it becomes cracked or damaged. Keep accessories stored dry to prevent contamination.
