Skymningsrelä STEINEL NightMatic 2000 vit

The Night Sensor STEINEL NightMatic 2000 White is an outdoor light sensor that switches connected lights on or off automatically according to ambient light levels. Designed for external use, it operates in temperatures from -20 to 50 °C and is rated IP54 for protection against dust and water. The compact housing (74 × 37 × 99 mm) and 230–240 V input make it suitable for standard outdoor lighting circuits with a maximum load of 1000 W.

Advantages

The NightMatic 2000 provides automatic control of exterior lights based on adjustable light-level thresholds, eliminating the need to operate switches manually. Its IP54 enclosure protects the sensor against dust and splashing water, while the temperature range of -20 to 50 °C ensures reliable operation in most climates. The unit is compact and simple to install in typical outdoor mounting locations.

Suitable for

• Automatic switching of porch and garden lamps
• Control of security and pathway lighting
• Outdoor lights at entrances or driveways

How to use

Mount the NightMatic 2000 in a suitable outdoor location where it can measure ambient light reliably and is protected from direct heavy spray. Connect the device to the lighting circuit following local electrical regulations and the manufacturer's wiring diagram. Set the light-level threshold to the desired sensitivity so the sensor switches the lights on at the preferred dusk level and off at dawn or brighter conditions.

Recommendations

The sensor should be positioned to avoid direct exposure to artificial light sources that could prevent proper switching. For safe installation and wiring, use a qualified electrician and follow applicable local standards. Regularly check the mounting and sealing to maintain IP54 protection.
