The fischer cavity metal anchor HM-S is a versatile cavity fixing with a metric screw designed for board building materials such as gypsum fibre board and plasterboard. It is set in a pre-positioned installation using the fischer installation pliers HM-Z 1 or alternatively by screwdriver or cordless screwdriver. When set, the anchor is pulled into the cavity and its expanding arms open and press against the reverse side of the board to create a secure connection. The HM-S is suitable for fixing lights, towel rails and curtain rails.

How to use

Drill the correct diameter hole in the board material, insert the HM-S anchor into the pre-positioned hole, and set it by pulling the anchor into the cavity with the fischer installation pliers HM-Z 1 or by tightening with a screwdriver/cordless screwdriver until the expanding arms deploy and press against the reverse side of the board. Once set, attach the fixture using a compatible metric screw and tighten to the required torque without over-tightening to avoid damaging the board.
