Sidavbitare Knipex 70 06 140

The Knipex 70 06 140 diagonal pliers are compact, all-purpose cutters designed for precise cutting of soft and hard wires. Forged from vanadium electric steel and oil-hardened for durability, these diagonal pliers feature induction-hardened cutting edges (approx. 62 HRC) and a narrow head style for working in confined areas. At 140 mm length and about 160 g weight, they offer comfortable handling with plastic grips suitable for precision tasks and routine wire cutting.

Advantages

Precision-cutting edges provide clean cuts of thin copper and other wires, including at the tip of the cutting edges. The induction-hardened cutting edges increase wear resistance and service life. The narrow head allows access in tight spaces, while the forged, oil-hardened chromium-vanadium construction ensures strength and long-term durability. Lightweight design with plastic handles improves handling for detailed work.

Suitable for

• Cutting thin copper and steel wires
• Electrical and electronics work in confined spaces
• Precision trimming of small components
• General workshop and maintenance cutting tasks

How to use

Position the wire as close to the cutting edge as possible and apply steady pressure on the handles to make a clean cut. For precise cuts use the tip region of the cutting edges; for thicker wires position the material deeper into the jaws. Keep the pliers clean and free of debris to maintain cutting performance. Do not use the pliers on hardened steel or materials beyond the specified capacity to avoid damage.

Recommendations

Use the Knipex 70 06 140 for soft and hard wires within its capacity, avoid cutting hardened bolts or piano wire, and store dry to prevent corrosion. Regularly check cutting edges for wear and replace the tool if cutting quality deteriorates.
