Optisk box Televes OB4 4-utgångs splitter modell 231502

The Televes Optical Box OB4 4-output splitter Model 231502 is a compact optical distribution unit intended to split a single incoming fiber signal into four outputs for FTTH and FTTB deployments. The enclosure supports organized cable routing and protects optical connections in residential or small commercial installations. Its design focuses on stable optical performance and practical mounting in communication cabinets or on walls.

Advantages

The optical box provides four output ports to distribute an incoming optical signal to multiple subscribers while maintaining consistent insertion loss and return loss characteristics suitable for access networks. The compact footprint and durable housing reduce installation space and protect connectors from environmental factors. The unit is compatible with standard fiber patching and splicing techniques, enabling straightforward integration into existing fiber infrastructure.

Suitable for

• FTTH apartment or single-family dwelling distribution
• FTTB deployments in small multi-dwelling buildings
• Small commercial premises requiring multiple fiber endpoints
• Fiber access cabinets, wall-mounted grounding points, or indoor distribution panels

Key specifications

• Number of outputs: 4
• Function: passive optical splitting of single input to four outputs
• Form factor: compact indoor enclosure suitable for wall or panel mounting
• Port type: optical fiber output ports compatible with standard connector and splice methods
• Typical application: access networks such as FTTH and FTTB
• Environment: designed for indoor installation with protection for fiber connections

How to use

Mount the optical box on a suitable indoor surface or within a distribution cabinet, then route the incoming feeder fiber into the enclosure and secure it according to local installation practices. Terminate the input and outputs using appropriate connectors or splices and ensure fibers are managed to maintain minimum bend radius. After connections are made, verify optical continuity and signal levels with an optical power meter or OTDR to confirm correct splitting and acceptable loss values.

Recommendations

Follow industry-standard fiber handling procedures: avoid sharp bends, secure fibers to prevent strain, and use dust caps on unused ports. Perform optical measurements after installation to document insertion loss and ensure compliance with network design margins.

Televes Optical Box OB4 4-output splitter Model 231502 is intended for professional installation and integration into fiber access networks where a reliable, compact four-way passive split is required.
