Nätaggregat MEAN WELL GST120A12-R7B

The MEAN WELL GST120A12-R7B is a 120W AC-DC industrial desktop adapter that delivers a stable 12V DC output at up to 8.5A. Designed for a wide input range of 85–264VAC, it includes power factor correction (PFC) and meets RoHS requirements. The adapter uses a 3-pole IEC320-C14 AC inlet and has compact dimensions (67 × 167 × 35 mm), making it suitable for installations where space is limited. Units are sold in packs of 20.

Advantages

The adapter provides a constant 12V output with a maximum current of 8.5A and a rated power of 120W, supporting stable operation of downstream devices. Built-in PFC improves efficiency and reduces mains distortion across the 85–264VAC input range. RoHS compliance ensures restriction of hazardous substances. Its compact desktop form factor and standard IEC320-C14 inlet simplify installation and replacement in industrial and commercial systems.

Suitable for

• Industrial control equipment and automation devices
• Networking and communication devices requiring 12V DC
• Embedded systems, single-board computers, and peripheral devices
• Replacement power supplies for desktop electronics with IEC320-C14 inlet

How to use

Connect the adapter to an AC mains source using a compatible IEC320-C13 power cord plugged into the IEC320-C14 inlet. Verify the mains voltage is within the specified 85–264VAC range before powering connected devices. Connect the DC output (12V) to the load ensuring correct polarity and that the connected device does not exceed 8.5A. Allow adequate ventilation around the adapter during operation to maintain temperature within safe limits.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry, ventilated environments and avoid covering the unit during operation. For long-term reliability, keep the DC load below the maximum rating and ensure proper cable sizing for the 12V output. Replace damaged cords or connectors and consult the device manual for grounding and installation details.
