Monteringstejp 3M 40041915

The 3M 40041915 mounting tape is a transparent adhesive tape 1.5 m long and 19 mm wide designed to provide reliable attachment of lightweight objects and labels to a variety of surfaces. Its clear finish minimizes visual impact, making it suitable where a discreet bond is required. The tape combines pressure-sensitive adhesive with a thin carrier to deliver a strong initial tack and maintain adhesion over time on many common substrates.

Advantages

The transparent construction offers an unobtrusive look while preserving surface appearance. Its pressure-sensitive adhesive provides immediate holding strength without the need for tools or heat. The narrow 19 mm width is convenient for precise placement and label mounting. The 1.5 m length supplies enough material for multiple small jobs and reduces the need for frequent replacement. Durable bonding properties help resist everyday shear and peel forces on properly prepared surfaces.

How to use

Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, oil or loose particles. Cut the required length of tape and apply it to the item to be mounted, pressing firmly to achieve good contact. Remove any liner if present and press the item onto the target surface, applying even pressure across the bonded area for several seconds. Allow the adhesive to develop full strength by avoiding immediate heavy loads; bonding performance improves after adhesive relaxation and surface wet-out.

Recommendations

For optimal adhesion, use on smooth, non-porous surfaces and condition surfaces at moderate room temperature. Avoid use on delicate or freshly painted surfaces without testing first. When mounting objects with significant weight or exposure to heat, moisture or outdoor conditions, consider mechanical fastening or a product specifically formulated for heavy-duty or extreme-environment applications.
