Mobilladdare Ubiquiti INS-3AF-USB

The Ubiquiti INS-3AF-USB is a compact universal mobile device charger designed to convert Power over Ethernet (PoE) into a regulated 5V USB output. With a single USB 2.0 port and a small white housing, this adapter provides a simple solution for powering smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices where PoE is available. The unit accepts a 48V PoE input and delivers up to 5V at the USB output, making it suitable for basic charging tasks and accessory power in office, retail, and networking environments.

Advantages

The adapter’s compact form factor and white finish allow easy integration into existing installations without occupying much space. Using PoE as the power source eliminates the need for separate AC outlets and simplifies cabling in locations with network-powered infrastructure. The single USB 2.0 port provides standardized 5V output for broad compatibility with most mobile devices and small peripherals.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Charging smartphones and basic feature phones from PoE points
• Powering tablets and e-readers in retail or public display setups
• Supplying power to USB accessories such as small hubs, Bluetooth adapters, or cameras that accept 5V input
• Integrating into networked environments where AC power outlets are limited

How to use

Connect the Ubiquiti INS-3AF-USB to a compatible PoE-enabled Ethernet source or PoE injector that supplies 48V. Plug a standard USB cable into the device’s USB 2.0 port and then into the mobile device or accessory you wish to power. Ensure the PoE source is active and that the connected device supports charging from a 5V USB supply. Monitor charging status on the connected device; disconnect when charging is complete or when the adapter is not in use.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with PoE sources that conform to the expected 48V output and with USB cables in good condition. Avoid exposing the unit to water, extreme temperatures, or mechanical stress. For devices with higher current demands, verify that the USB 2.0 output meets the required charging current; use alternative power solutions if the device requires higher current than the adapter can provide.
