AKG C519 ML svanhalsmikrofon med miniXLR (030-03-112)

The AKG C519 ML is a gooseneck microphone designed for professional use in spoken-word and musical applications. Featuring a flexible gooseneck for precise placement and a miniXLR connector for straightforward integration with compatible audio systems, this microphone provides clear sound reproduction and robust construction for repeated use in lecture halls, conference rooms, stages, and houses of worship.

Advantages

The gooseneck design enables fine positioning of the capsule for optimal voice capture while maintaining a low visual profile. The miniXLR connector simplifies connection to compatible preamps and mixers, reducing cable clutter and enabling quick setup. The microphone’s capsule and internal electronics are tuned for clear speech intelligibility and reliable performance in live environments. Built from durable materials, the C519 ML withstands frequent handling and prolonged installations.

Suitable for

• Lectures and classroom teaching
• Conference rooms and boardroom presentations
• Podiums and lecterns
• Live spoken-word performances and readings
• Houses of worship and meeting halls

Key specifications

• Type: Gooseneck microphone
• Connector: miniXLR connector for audio integration
• Polar pattern: Designed for focused voice pickup (cardioid-style behaviour)
• Mounting: Lectern or podium compatible mounting configuration
• Construction: Durable metal gooseneck and capsule housing for repeated use

How to use

Position the AKG C519 ML by bending the gooseneck so the capsule sits 15–30 cm from the speaker’s mouth for optimal clarity. Connect the miniXLR to a compatible preamp, mixer, or interface, and set the input gain to achieve a clean signal without clipping. For speech, aim the capsule slightly off-axis from the mouth to reduce plosive sounds; for closer placement, use a pop filter or windscreen if needed. Test levels before the event and make small position adjustments to balance clarity and ambient rejection.

Recommendations

Use the microphone with a compatible phantom-powered or preamplified input as specified by your audio equipment. Securely attach the gooseneck to the lectern or stand to avoid handling noise. Regularly inspect the connector and cable for wear, and store the microphone in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use to preserve performance.
