Kylsystemdel Alphacool 17255

The Alphacool 17255 cooling system part is a compact metal connector designed for liquid-cooling loops in desktop PCs. Constructed from nickel-plated materials with a silver finish, it provides a precise 1/4" connecting thread and is available with male or female connector options. With dimensions of 18 mm width, 10 mm depth and 18 mm height, this component fits many common tubing and fitting layouts and contributes to reliable, low-leak connections in custom water-cooling builds.

Advantages

The nickel and silver surface treatment improves corrosion resistance and mechanical durability while maintaining thermal stability under continuous operation. The 1/4" thread ensures compatibility with standard PC water-cooling fittings and the option of male or female connectors allows flexible integration into existing loops. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for tight mounting spaces without compromising flow performance.

Suitable for

• Custom PC water-cooling loops
• Radiator and pump connections in compact builds
• Replacement or upgrade of existing fittings in desktop systems

Key specifications

• Material finish: nickel-plated with silver appearance
• Connecting thread: 1/4" (standard PC water-cooling thread)
• Connector types: available in male or female variants
• Dimensions (W×D×H): 18 mm × 10 mm × 18 mm
• Intended use: liquid-cooling fittings for desktop PCs

How to use

Install the Alphacool 17255 into the water-cooling loop by threading it into a matching 1/4" fitting or port; ensure the connector orientation (male or female) matches the counterpart in the loop. Tighten by hand until seated and finish with a small turn using an appropriate wrench if required, taking care not to overtighten. After assembly, perform a pressure or leak test before powering the system to confirm there are no leaks and that flow is unobstructed.

Recommendations

Use with compatible 1/4" fittings and standard soft or hard tubing. Regularly inspect threaded connections for signs of wear or corrosion and recheck tightness after initial system operation. When combining dissimilar metals in a loop, consider appropriate coolant additives to reduce risk of galvanic corrosion.
