Kylfläns Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta

The Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta heatsink is a high-mass cooling component designed for demanding computer cooling applications. Constructed from copper and steel, the unit combines thermal conductivity and structural strength to support effective heat dissipation. Its overall dimensions of 144 mm width, 468 mm depth and 86 mm height and a black finish make it suitable for integration into a variety of system layouts where a large-capacity heatsink is required.

Advantages

The combination of copper and steel provides a balance of high thermal conductivity and mechanical durability, enabling consistent heat transfer from hot surfaces to the environment. The substantial mass and extended fin area increase thermal inertia and surface area for improved passive and active cooling performance. A 140 mm fan compatibility and a compact profile for its capacity allow flexible installation in cases and radiators where space is limited but high cooling performance is needed.

Suitable for

• High-performance desktop CPUs and GPU blocks requiring enhanced passive heat dissipation
• Custom liquid cooling setups where a large heatsink mass is used as an additional thermal reservoir
• Systems with 140 mm fan mounts or spaces accommodating larger tower-style heatsinks

Key specifications

• Type: Heatsink
• Primary materials: copper and steel construction for heat transfer and rigidity
• Fan compatibility: designed around 140 mm fan diameter
• Dimensions (W×D×H): 144 mm × 468 mm × 86 mm
• Weight: 2.738 kg
• Finish: black

How to use

Mount the Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta heatsink according to the chassis or cooling loop layout, ensuring secure mechanical attachment and appropriate alignment with the heat source. For best results, pair the heatsink with a compatible 140 mm fan or integrate it into a liquid cooling loop where the heatsink can act as an additional thermal reservoir. Ensure thermal interface material is applied evenly on the mating surface and that airflow paths are unobstructed to maximize heat removal.

Recommendations

Position the heatsink where airflow is consistent and unobstructed, and use a fan with adequate static pressure if forced convection is required. Periodically inspect and clean fins of dust buildup to maintain thermal performance, and verify mounting hardware is torqued to manufacturer guidelines to avoid mechanical stress on components.
