Konstpapper Franken UMZ MPK 50 ark

Franken UMZ MPK art paper is a pack of 50 large-format sheets designed for drawing, painting and mixed-media projects. Each sheet measures 1100 mm x 1400 mm and has a paper weight of 130 g/m², providing a stable surface for pencils, charcoal, ink washes and light water-based techniques. The sheets are supplied in compact packaging that is easy to store and transport, making this art paper suitable for home studios, schools and workshops.

Advantages

The 130 g/m² weight balances flexibility and strength, allowing for easy handling while resisting light buckling from wet media. Large single-sheet dimensions give artists room for expansive layouts and detailed compositions. Supplied in a 50-sheet pack, the paper is practical for repeated classroom exercises, series work or multiple studies. The neutral surface is compatible with a wide range of dry and wet materials commonly used in art and craft.

Suitable for

• Drawing with graphite, charcoal and colored pencils
• Ink drawings and light ink washes
• Mixed-media sketches and collage bases
• School art projects and student practice
• Large-format design studies and mock-ups

How to use

Select a flat, clean workspace large enough to accommodate the 1100 × 1400 mm sheet. Secure the sheet with low-tack tape along the edges if needed to prevent movement while working. Use pencils, charcoal, pastels or inks according to your technique; for light water-based techniques, apply thin washes and allow to dry to avoid excessive buckling. For mixed-media work, build layers progressively and ensure each layer is dry before adding heavier media.

Recommendations

Store the pack flat in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and high humidity to preserve sheet flatness and surface quality. When framing or mounting, use appropriate backing and archival adhesives if long-term preservation is required.
