Koaxialuttag ShiverPeaks BS83900-10

The ShiverPeaks BS83900-10 Coaxial Socket Outlet provides a 10 dB attenuation for controlled signal reduction in coaxial cable installations. This wall-mounted socket is intended for use where a precise attenuation value is required to balance signal levels, reduce interference, or prevent overloading of downstream equipment. Supplied as a single unit per pack, the outlet is suitable for residential and light-commercial installations where consistent performance and straightforward wiring are needed.

Advantages

This coaxial socket offers a specified 10 dB attenuation that helps manage signal strength without altering connector compatibility. The unit is compact and designed for standard wall outlet mounting, enabling easy integration into existing cable runs. Its predictable attenuation value supports reliable signal distribution and can help protect tuners, modems, and set-top boxes from excessive input levels.

Suitable for

• Balancing signal levels in multi-room TV and satellite systems
• Connecting set-top boxes, tuners and cable modems where attenuation is required
• Reducing interference and preventing overload on downstream receivers
• Upgrading or repairing residential coaxial outlet points

Key specifications

• Type: Coaxial socket outlet
• Attenuation: 10 dB
• Mounting: wall outlet / faceplate compatible
• Connector: coaxial F-type compatible connection
• Pack quantity: 1 piece

How to use

Install the coaxial socket according to local wiring regulations and standard low-voltage procedures. Turn off signal sources before connecting cables. Mount the unit into a compatible wall box or faceplate cut-out, secure it mechanically, then attach the incoming and outgoing coaxial cables to the socket connector, ensuring tight and clean connections. After installation, verify signal levels at the receiver to confirm the 10 dB attenuation produces the desired result.

Recommendations

Use the socket where a fixed 10 dB attenuation is required to balance signal distribution or protect equipment. Verify signal strength before and after installation and combine with signal amplifiers or splitters only when matching overall system gain and loss. For professional installations, follow local standards and use appropriate tools to ensure reliable connections.
