Knipex 72 01 140 sidavbitare

The Knipex 72 01 140 diagonal pliers are compact precision cutters designed for near-flush cutting of molded plastic components from sprues and for clean, flush cuts in soft materials such as lead. Made from forged chromium-vanadium electric steel and oil-hardened for durability, these 140 mm pliers combine a narrow cutting face with a flush-ground cutting edge and an opening spring for comfortable repetitive use. The plastic handles provide a secure grip for controlled cutting tasks.

Advantages

Flush-ground cutting edges allow nearly flush cuts on molded plastic parts and achieve precise shearing in soft materials. The forged, oil-hardened chromium-vanadium steel construction ensures long service life and reliable cutting performance. An integrated opening spring improves handling during repeated cuts, while the compact 140 mm length keeps the tool lightweight and easy to maneuver.

Suitable for

• Cutting molded plastic components from sprues with minimal leftover material
• Flush cutting of soft materials such as lead
• Precision electrical and hobby work where compact diagonal pliers are required

How to use

Position the cutting edges close to the workpiece so the flush-ground face sits against the surface to be trimmed. Squeeze the handles evenly to make a clean, near-flush cut; release to allow the opening spring to return the pliers to the open position. For safe, controlled cuts on small wires or sprue remnants, use short, steady strokes and avoid twisting the tool while cutting.

Recommendations

Use these diagonal pliers for precision trimming and soft-material flush cuts. Keep cutting edges clean and free of debris, avoid cutting hardened or non-specified materials, and store the tool dry to preserve the oil-hardened steel.
