Kippdubb Fischer 80178

Fischer 80178 toggle bolt provides a secure anchoring solution for fixtures and fittings in hollow and solid base materials. Designed for reliable load-bearing performance, this toggle bolt is compatible with brick, concrete, gypsum block and plasterboard. With a total length of 100 mm and a drill hole diameter requirement of 20 mm, the fastener uses an M8 connecting thread and is supplied in a pack of 20 pieces for multiple installations and replacement needs.

Advantages

The design of the Fischer toggle bolt ensures a wide bearing surface behind the substrate, distributing load evenly and reducing the risk of pull-through. Its metal toggle provides stable expansion and locking action in hollow materials, while the threaded connection gives a consistent and adjustable fixing point. Supplied in a multi-piece pack, it supports efficient work on several fixtures without frequent restocking. The product is suitable for both professional tradespeople and home DIY users seeking a dependable mechanical anchor.

Suitable for

• Mounting shelves and cabinets to plasterboard and gypsum board
• Securing handrails, towel rails and bathroom accessories to hollow walls
• Fixing light to medium-weight fixtures to brick and concrete
• Temporary or permanent attachments where a through-toggle anchor is required

Key specifications

• Length: 100 mm
• Required drill hole diameter: 20 mm
• Connecting thread: M8
• Material: metal toggle with threaded bolt (steel)
• Pack contents: 20 pieces

How to use

Drill a 20 mm diameter hole through the substrate at the chosen fixing point. Insert the toggle assembly folded against the bolt through the hole, then allow it to open inside the cavity. Pull back gently to seat the toggle against the inner surface, then tighten the bolt to draw the fixture flush with the outer surface. For solid materials such as brick or concrete, ensure the toggle can engage correctly or use an appropriate sleeve or anchor type if necessary. Follow standard safety precautions when drilling and make sure the installed anchor aligns with the load direction of the fixture.

Recommendations

For best performance, verify the suitability of the fixing point and substrate before installation. Use a drill with the correct 20 mm bit, avoid overtightening which can deform the substrate or the toggle, and select fixings at appropriate spacing to distribute loads. When installing heavy items, check manufacturer load tables or consult a structural specialist if load demands are critical.
