Keystone-modul Rutenbeck 17010650

The Rutenbeck 17010650 keystone module combines a USB-Keystone connector with a USB-A port in a compact, white housing designed for integration into keystone panels, wall plates, and patch panels. It offers a standardized interface for extending USB connections within structured cabling systems, enabling tidy, modular installation in residential or commercial environments. The module is intended to provide a reliable pass-through USB connection where a front-facing USB-A socket is required while the keystone format ensures compatibility with common mounting solutions.

Advantages

This keystone module provides a consistent USB-A interface in a space-saving format, allowing straightforward installation into existing keystone frames or plates. Its white finish blends with typical wallplates and office furniture, maintaining a professional appearance. The module supports organized cabling by converting a keystone opening into a usable USB-A connection, reducing the need for loose adapters and minimizing strain on cables through a fixed mounting point.

How to use

Install the module by snapping it into a compatible keystone opening of a wall plate, faceplate, or patch panel. Route the internal USB cable or terminate the appropriate connection at the rear according to your structured cabling layout. After mounting, connect the external USB device to the front-facing USB-A port and verify the host device provides the required power and data connection. Ensure connections are secure and that cable bend radius is respected to avoid strain at the module interface.

Recommendations

Use this keystone module in combination with compatible keystone frames and professionally installed cabling to ensure stable USB connections. Verify the USB host and device requirements (power and data specifications) match the intended use; for high-current devices, prefer a powered USB hub or dedicated power source rather than relying on passive cabling through the module.
