How to use

Position the connector and the stripped conductor in the appropriate crimping zone of the tool, then apply steady pressure to the handles until the crimp is completed. Inspect the crimp visually and, where appropriate, perform a pull test to confirm mechanical integrity. For different connector types, ensure correct placement in the jaw to avoid deformation. Clean the tool jaws periodically and check for wear to maintain consistent crimp quality.

Recommendations

Use the Knipex 97 90 17 with connectors and cable types that match the tool’s jaw geometry. Avoid using the crimper on materials or connector sizes beyond its intended range. Store the tool in a dry place, apply light lubrication to pivot points as needed, and inspect jaws regularly to ensure continued precision.
