Kabelkönsbyte ShiverPeaks BS75005

The ShiverPeaks BS75005 is a high-quality RJ-45 cable gender changer designed to join two Ethernet cables quickly and reliably. Finished in black, this compact inline adapter maintains the standard RJ-45 form factor while providing gold-plated contacts to improve conductivity and resist corrosion. It is a simple inline solution for extending cable runs, converting plug orientation, or adapting existing cabling without requiring additional tools or termination.

Advantages

This RJ-45 gender changer offers enhanced contact reliability due to gold-plated connectors that reduce signal loss and oxidation over time. The compact housing conserves space in network racks or behind equipment, and the standard-size connector ensures compatibility with typical RJ-45 Ethernet cables. The adapter is plug-and-play, requiring no configuration and providing a stable mechanical and electrical connection between two cable ends.

Suitable for

• Extending Ethernet cable runs by joining two RJ-45 patch cords
• Adapting cable orientation for constrained spaces behind network equipment
• Temporary network setups, testing, or lab environments
• Home and small office network installations requiring a quick inline join

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45 inline gender changer (female-to-female)
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Color: Black housing
• Form factor: Compact inline coupler suitable for typical patch cables
• Compatibility: Standard 8P8C Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6 and similar)

How to use

To use the ShiverPeaks cable gender changer, align each RJ-45 plug with the adapter’s ports and insert until the plug latches securely. Ensure both cable plugs are fully seated to maintain reliable electrical contact. The adapter is ready for immediate use after insertion and does not require configuration. For removal, depress the plug latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the connector or cable.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the adapter with cables of matching category (for example, Cat5e with Cat5e or Cat6 with Cat6) to preserve signal characteristics. Avoid placing excessive strain on the connected cables and keep the adapter clear of tight bends or crush points. For permanent installations, consider using a properly terminated cable or wall plate rather than an inline coupler.
