Justerbar skiftnyckel HAZET 279-18

The Hazet Adjustable spanner HAZET 279-18 is a heavy-duty adjustable wrench designed for demanding mechanical and maintenance tasks. With a total length of 458 mm and a jaw width of 5.3 cm, the tool provides high leverage and a broad clamping range for nuts and bolts of various sizes. The robust black finish and solid construction contribute to long-term durability and resistance to wear in professional workshop and field environments.

Advantages

This adjustable spanner combines a large jaw opening with a long handle to deliver increased torque with reduced user effort. The precisely machined jaw surfaces ensure a reliable grip on fasteners and help minimise slippage and rounding. Its substantial mass and ergonomic balance enhance stability during use, while the protective coating reduces corrosion and surface damage, extending the service life of the tool.

Suitable for

• Automotive repair and maintenance
• Industrial and mechanical assembly work
• Plumbing and pipefitting tasks requiring large jaw opening
• Construction site maintenance and equipment repair
• Home workshop projects where heavy-duty fastening is needed

Key specifications

• Overall length: 458 mm
• Maximum jaw width (opening): 53 mm
• Weight: 2.01 kg
• Finish: durable black protective coating
• Material: high-strength alloy steel (heat-treated)
• Handle design: long handle for increased leverage and control

How to use

Open the jaw by turning the adjustment screw to match the size of the fastener. Position the spanner so that the fixed jaw bears against the stationary side of the nut or bolt and the adjustable jaw engages the driving side. Apply steady force on the handle, using the extended length to generate higher torque while keeping the wrench aligned with the fastener to prevent slipping. After use, clean debris from the threads of the adjustment screw and wipe the tool dry before storage to maintain smooth operation.

Recommendations

For safe and effective use, select the correct jaw opening so the adjustable jaw fully engages the fastener. Avoid using the spanner on rounded or severely damaged heads. When high torque is required, apply controlled force rather than sudden impacts; do not use the wrench as a hammer or leverage it with additional pipes. Store the spanner in a dry place and perform periodic inspections of the adjustment mechanism and jaws to ensure proper alignment and grip.
