InLine fiberoptisk duplexkabel 88503P 50/125µm OM4 3 m

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable 88503P 50/125µm OM4 3m is a pre-terminated multimode duplex patch cable designed for short- to medium-distance high-speed networking. With a 50/125µm core/cladding dimension and OM4-grade fibre, it supports higher bandwidth and improved modal dispersion characteristics compared to lower OM classifications. The cable's 3 meter length and duplex configuration enable simultaneous bi-directional data transmission between compatible transceivers and networking equipment.

Advantages

The OM4 multimode construction provides increased bandwidth and lower attenuation for typical data centre and enterprise links. A duplex configuration allows full-duplex communication without additional adapters, and the factory-terminated connectors ensure consistent optical performance and reduced insertion loss. The 50/125µm core size is compatible with a wide range of multimode transceivers and active equipment used in LAN and data centre environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, servers and patch panels in data centres
• High-speed local area network (LAN) links and aggregation ports
• Short to medium reach multimode applications such as server racks and equipment cabinets
• Fiber optic patching between transceivers supporting OM4

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Configuration: Duplex (two fibers)
• Length: 3 m
• Typical use: Patch cable for data centre and LAN applications
• Connector style: Pre-terminated duplex connectors (factory-terminated)

How to use

Identify the appropriate duplex ports on your networking devices or patch panels and connect each end of the cable ensuring correct polarity for transmit and receive channels. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fiber to prevent increased attenuation. Secure the cable in cable management trays or ties to prevent strain on the connectors and to keep routing tidy. For best optical performance, inspect connector endfaces and clean them if necessary before making connections.

Recommendations

Store the cable in a dry, dust-free environment and handle connectors by the boot or housing to avoid touching the fibre endfaces. For installations requiring longer reach or single-mode performance, select an appropriate fiber type. When integrating into existing infrastructure, verify transceiver and patch panel compatibility with 50/125 µm OM4 multimode fiber.
