Icy Dock MB606SPO-B drivenhetsplatslucka

The ToughArmor MB606SPO-B is a full-metal drive bay panel that fits a single 5.25" external bay and combines six hot-swappable 2.5" SATA/SAS drive trays (5–7mm height) with one Ultra‑Slim 9.5mm CD/DVD/Blu‑ray ROM optical drive slot. Designed for industrial and mobile systems, the enclosure provides robust protection, active cooling with a user-configurable 40mm fan, individual drive status LEDs, and a removable dust cover. The unit supports locking SATA data and power connections and is suitable for space-constrained applications requiring durable hardware.

Advantages

The all-metal construction and anti-vibration removable trays protect drives in harsh environments while preserving drive integrity. A configurable 40mm cooling fan plus extensive ventilation maintains optimal operating temperatures for both HDDs and SSDs. Individual status LEDs and secure latch-compatible SATA/power support provide clear drive indication and reliable connections. The included dust cover prevents contamination when the optical drive is not installed.

Suitable for

• Industrial PCs and rackmount systems
• Mobile and in-vehicle computer systems
• Military, medical, avionics, and shipboard applications
• Workstations and servers needing high drive density

How to use

Install the MB606SPO-B into an available 5.25" external bay and connect SATA power and data cables with latching connectors to ensure secure connections. Slide 2.5" drives into the removable trays and secure them according to the tray mounting points; trays have anti-vibration features to hold drives in place. For an ultra‑slim optical drive, mount it using the labeled screw holes, secure the built-in bracket screw, and reattach the dust cover if the drive is not used. Configure the 40mm fan speed (high, low, or off) depending on drive type and system cooling.

Recommendations

Use high fan setting for mechanical HDD workloads, set to low or off when populated only with SSDs and when system airflow is sufficient. Regularly remove the dust cover only when inserting an optical drive and keep ventilation openings clear to maintain cooling performance and long-term reliability.
