HyperX QuadCast 2 – USB-mikrofon (Frost)

The HP HyperX QuadCast 2 Frost microphone combines a distinctive frosted aesthetic with practical features designed for clear vocal capture. It includes customizable RGB lighting, an integrated pop filter and a shock mount to reduce handling and environmental noise. Optimized for close-range voice pickup with a cardioid polar pattern, the microphone delivers focused audio for streaming, podcasting and gaming on PC, Mac and supported consoles.

Advantages

The microphone’s cardioid pattern prioritizes sound from the front while minimizing background noise, improving voice clarity. The built-in pop filter mitigates plosive sounds without requiring additional accessories. The integrated shock mount reduces vibrations from desk movement and handling. USB connectivity ensures plug-and-play compatibility with PC and Mac and makes setup straightforward. Customizable RGB lighting provides visual feedback and can be adjusted to match a workspace or stream layout.

• Podcast recording and voiceover work
• Online gaming and voice chat
• Home studio and remote meetings

Key specifications

• Polar pattern: cardioid (optimized for single-source vocal capture)
• Connection: USB digital interface for direct connection to host devices
• Integrated features: built-in pop filter and shock mount to reduce plosives and vibration noise
• Lighting: customizable RGB illumination with user-adjustable effects
• Compatibility: supports major desktop and laptop operating systems and compatible consoles

How to use

Place the microphone on a stable desk mount or compatible boom arm and position it so the front faces the speaker at a distance of approximately 10–20 cm for optimal vocal clarity. Connect the microphone to a computer or supported console via the USB cable and select it as the input device in the system or application settings. Use the onboard controls or included software to adjust gain, mute and RGB lighting. Speak directly into the front of the microphone and monitor levels to avoid clipping; reduce input gain if you notice distortion.

Recommendations

For best results, combine the cardioid pickup with a quiet recording environment and keep the built-in pop filter and shock mount in place. Use a pop shield for very close vocals, and adjust gain settings in incremental steps while monitoring audio to achieve a balanced, clear recording suitable for streaming, podcasting or professional calls.
