HellermannTyton 162-20400 kabelisolerslang, svart, längd 1 m, 1 st.

HellermannTyton 162-20400 is a black cable insulation sleeve supplied as a single 1 m length. Designed to provide electrical insulation and mechanical protection for wiring, this heavy-walled sleeve is suitable for repair, insulation of individual cables and for bundling conductors. The sleeve helps protect cables from abrasion, oils and environmental exposure in installations, maintenance and industrial applications where larger cable diameters and robust protection are required.

Advantages

The product offers a heavy-walled construction that delivers robust mechanical protection and very high abrasion resistance. Its material characteristics provide very good resistance to oils and increased durability in demanding environments. Supplied as a single 1 m length, the sleeve is ready for cutting to size and application on individual cables or bundles, allowing flexible use in repair and installation tasks.

Suitable for

• Repairing or insulating single electrical cables
• Bundling and protecting conductor groups
• Applications requiring abrasion-resistant cable protection
• Environments with potential oil exposure or mechanical stress
• Installations where larger cable diameters need coverage

Key specifications

• Color: black
• Length: 1 m
• Construction: heavy-walled insulation sleeve
• Protection properties: high abrasion resistance and mechanical protection
• Chemical resistance: very good resistance to oils
• Intended use: insulation, repair, bundling and abrasion protection of cables

How to use

Cut the 1 m sleeve to the required length using an appropriate cutting tool. Slide the sleeve over the cable or cable bundle to be insulated or protected; for repair tasks position the sleeve to fully cover the damaged section and secure the ends if needed with adhesive tape, cable ties or heat-shrink components as appropriate for the application. Ensure the sleeve fully covers exposed conductors and that terminations, connectors or junctions are left accessible according to safety practices.

Recommendations

For best results in industrial or high-stress environments, select a sleeve diameter that accommodates the cable bundle without excessive stretching. Verify compatibility with nearby components and follow applicable electrical safety standards during installation. When used near connectors or terminals, ensure adequate strain relief and secure mounting to prevent movement that could expose conductors.
