HDD-bur Akasa AK-HDA-12

The Akasa AK-HDA-12 is a mounting adapter (HDD cage) that lets you install a 3.5" internal device, 3.5" HDD or 2.5" SSD/HDD into a 5.25" PC drive bay. Constructed from durable plastic, the unit is intended for rack chassis and helps organize storage devices while maintaining accessibility and airflow. The product is supplied as a single pack and includes SATA cables for easy connection during installation.

Advantages

The HDD Cage Akasa AK-HDA-12 provides a compact and stable solution for installing multiple drive form factors into a 5.25" bay. Its plastic construction reduces weight while offering sufficient rigidity for desktop or rack-mounted systems. Inclusion of SATA cables simplifies setup and reduces the need to source additional parts. The cage's dimensions support common drive sizes and promote orderly cable routing and ventilation.

• Installing a 3.5" internal device or 3.5" HDD into a 5.25" bay
• Mounting 2.5" SSD or HDD in systems lacking dedicated 2.5" bays
• Rack chassis or desktop PCs where drive consolidation and airflow are needed

Mount the 3.5" HDD or the 2.5" SSD/HDD into the cage using the appropriate screw holes, then connect the included SATA data and power cables to the drive and the motherboard/power supply. Ensure cable routing does not obstruct airflow and that the drive is firmly secured to prevent vibration.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, mount drives in cooled chassis locations and avoid overtightening screws. Verify SATA cable orientation and connections before powering the system. If used in rack deployments, allow clearance for ventilation and consider additional case fans if multiple drives are installed.
