Hanterad switch Axis 01633-001

AXIS T8504-R (Managed Switch Axis 01633-001) is a managed industrial Gigabit PoE switch with four RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports that support Power over Ethernet and two additional SFP ports for fiber connectivity. The switch provides a switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s, a MAC address table of 8000 entries and supports IEEE 802.1Q and IEEE 802.1x standards. It is built for harsh environments, rated to operate from -40 °C to 75 °C and designed to withstand shock and vibration, making it suitable for installations in surveillance cabinets, alongside highways, tunnels and other demanding outdoor or industrial locations.

Advantages

The AXIS T8504-R offers managed switching features with PoE on four Gigabit RJ-45 ports and two SFP ports for flexible uplink or fiber connections. Its 16 Gbit/s switching capacity and 8000-entry MAC table support multiple devices and stable traffic handling. Compliance with IEEE 802.1Q and 802.1x enables VLAN segmentation and secure network access. Ruggedized hardware and a wide operating temperature range make this managed PoE switch reliable in extreme environments.

Suitable for

• Video surveillance systems in cabinets or enclosures
• Transportation infrastructure (highways, tunnels)
• Industrial automation and remote monitoring
• Network edge aggregation with PoE-powered devices (cameras, access points)

How to use

Install the AXIS T8504-R inside a suitable surveillance cabinet or equipment enclosure and connect the DC power source within the specified 54–57 V range. Attach PoE-powered devices to the RJ-45 ports and use the SFP ports for fiber uplinks or longer-distance links. Configure VLANs, security (IEEE 802.1x) and other management settings via the AXIS T85 series web-based administrator interface. Ensure cabling and grounding follow local installation practices and the device documentation.

Recommendations

Mount the switch in a protected cabinet where temperature and vibration conditions are representative of the specified range; use fiber on the SFP ports for long-distance or electromagnetically noisy environments, and verify PoE power budget against connected device requirements before deployment.
