Hanterad nätverksswitch PLANET UPOE-1600G

The PLANET UPOE-1600G is a rack-mountable managed Gigabit Ethernet Ultra PoE injector hub that upgrades an existing network to an Ultra Power over Ethernet system without replacing the current Ethernet switch. It provides centralized power delivery and network management via a web interface, offering 32 RJ45 ports (16 data input and 16 PoE data+power output) and a total PoE budget of 600 W. Each PoE output port can supply up to 60 W over standard Cat5/5e/6 cables, enabling simultaneous transmission of data and power to remote powered devices.

Advantages

The UPOE-1600G delivers high-density Ultra PoE power while preserving existing network infrastructure. Its managed web interface allows remote monitoring and control of PoE functions, including power scheduling, PD alive check and power usage monitoring. With multiple PoE output modes (60 W 4-pair UPOE, 30 W end-span, 30 W mid-span), over-temperature protection, auto power allocation and intelligent fan control, the unit combines flexible power management and reliable operation in a 1U rack form factor.

Suitable for

• IP PTZ cameras and high-power surveillance devices
• Wireless access points and high-power APs
• VoIP phones and office telephony systems
• Thin clients, all-in-one touch PCs, POS terminals and kiosks
• Digital signage and remote displays

How to use

Install the UPOE-1600G between your existing Ethernet switch and the powered devices: connect uplink ports (data input) to the switch and connect the corresponding PoE output ports to PDs using Cat5/5e/6 cables. Access the built-in web management interface via the network to configure PoE settings, view power usage charts and set schedules. Use the PD alive check and scheduled power recycling features to automatically detect and reset non-responsive devices. Adjust PoE output mode (60 W UPOE, 30 W end-span or 30 W mid-span) per device requirements.

Recommendations

Use Cat5e or Cat6 cabling for reliable 60 W delivery; ensure the total connected PD power does not exceed the 600 W budget and assign priority or auto allocation in the web interface. For deployments beyond 100 m, use compatible PLANET PoE Extenders and monitor the unit’s temperature and PoE usage LEDs to prevent overloads.
