Gigabit Ethernet-switch Intellinet 24-port 561273

The Intellinet 24-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch (561273) is a metal, desktop or 19" rackmount switch designed to expand small office or home networks. It provides 24 Gigabit RJ‑45 ports with auto‑sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds, full‑ and half‑duplex operation, a 48 Gbps switching capacity and a MAC address table that supports 16,384 entries. The switch complies with IEEE standards including 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab and energy‑efficient 802.3az (Green Ethernet).

Advantages

The unit delivers high throughput with a 48 Gbps backplane for reliable data transfer across multiple devices and supports store‑and‑forward switching plus flow control and IEEE 802.3ab full‑duplex modes to maintain stable connections under load. Auto‑MDI/MDI‑X and auto‑speed sensing allow true plug‑and‑play installation without configuration. Energy‑saving IEEE 802.3az features reduce power on inactive ports and adjust power based on cable length to lower overall consumption.

Suitable for

• Small office and home network expansions
• Desktop or 19" rackmount installations
• Connecting computers, servers, printers and other Gigabit devices

Key specifications

• Ports: 24 × RJ‑45 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps)
• Switching capacity (backplane): 48 Gbps
• MAC address table: 16,384 entries
• Standards: IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab, 802.3x, 802.3az
• Operating modes: Full‑duplex and half‑duplex with flow control
• Form factor: Desktop / 19" rackmount, metal housing, black
• Weight: 2.6 kg

How to use

Place the switch on a desktop or mount it in a 19" rack using the supplied brackets. Connect each network device to the switch using standard Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables; the ports support Auto‑MDI/MDI‑X so crossover cables are not required. Power on the switch and then the connected devices; the switch will automatically detect link speeds (10/100/1000 Mbps) and duplex modes. No additional configuration is necessary for basic switching operation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use CAT5e or higher cables and distribute high‑bandwidth devices across different ports to reduce congestion. Keep ventilation clear around the unit and place it away from heat sources. If mounting in a rack, ensure adequate airflow and secure the switch with appropriate rack screws.
